La Rinconada
La Rinconada is the highest town and gold mine in the world, with altitudes between 5200 and 5600 meters. There are 400 mines here. 85.000 people live in very difficult conditions, at the foot of the Ananea glacier, including 30.000 miners.
The lake of Luna de Montagna is fully polluted with mercury. The entrance of the mines are inside the glacier, and are very dangerous.
